Note: Eclipse remains a capable IDE, especially for Java/enterprise development, but the landscape has shifted significantly. VS Code has become the most popular general-purpose editor, while IntelliJ IDEA dominates Java development. Newer editors like Cursor (AI-native fork of VS Code) and Zed (high-performance collaborative editor) are also gaining traction. Many of the shortcut patterns below (Ctrl+F for find, F5 for debug, etc.) carry over to these modern editors.
